2020 Annual Chili Cook-off Canceled

Each year, the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce hosts one of Belleville’s premier fall festivals, the Belleville Chili Cook-off. The annual event was scheduled this year for October 9 & 10, but given the current COVID-19 pandemic and guidance given from the State of Illinois and the Illinois Department of Public Health, the Chamber is disappointed to announce that they will have to cancel the 2020 Chili Cook-off. “This event is a fall family favorite event,” says President and CEO of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce, Wendy Pfeil. “We wish we were not making this announcement but the health and safety of our community is our top priority.” Many people attend the Chili Cook-off to enjoy great chili, entertainment, and other festivities, but most don’t realize that it’s the biggest fundraiser of the year…

Chamber Events Canceled Through April 19

The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce has decided to cancel or postpone all Chamber events through April 19, 2020.  As the threat of COVID-19 continues to spread to our communities, it is important for the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce to take the appropriate precautions outlined by the IL Dept. of Public Health. Silent Auction Items Wanted for Annual Dinner

As you start to plan your 2020 calendar, we want to make sure you save the date for our upcoming Annual Dinner on Thursday, January 30th beginning at 5:30 p.m. at St. Clair County Event Center. Formal invitations will be mailed and e-mailed later in December, but it’s not too early to mark your calendars. As has become a popular tradition, we will again host a silent auction with the dinner. Your generous donations are the reason it has been such a huge success. More than 60 vendors prepare chili dishes for annual Chili Cook-off

Thousands of locals are gearing up for the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce’s 36th annual Chili Cook-Off in Downtown Belleville on October 11 and 12, 2019 from 11:00am to 10:30pm both days. What began with just a few vendors on one block of East Main Street in downtown Belleville is now one of Belleville’s largest events celebrating the culinary creations from over 60 vendors, representing individuals, local organizations and area businesses. Thousands every year come to enjoy the great chili, entertainment and other festivities, but most don’t realize that the Chili Cook-off is the biggest fundraiser of the year for many non-profit or­ganizations that take part.
