They are collecting new and gently used items including blankets, gloves, hats, scarves, and more. Bring your items into the Chamber anytime before the end of Friday, November 1. Union United Methodist Church honored with Quarterly Commitment to Community Award

  The Commitment to Community Award is presented quarterly to a Chamber Member who demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of life for residents and/or businesses in the greater Belleville area. The Ambassadors are honored to present this quarter’s award to Union United Methodist Church. Union United Methodist Church acquired its name from the union of two downtown churches in 1950, but its heritage extends back to 1819, just five years after the founding of Belleville. Dissatisfied with the state of Methodism in Belleville in 1950, the congregations of First Methodist Church and Jackson Street Methodist Church, both located within sight of the public square, resolved to unite to create a larger organization that would more effectively serve the community. Healthcare & CSA Committee selling raffle tickets for high school scholarship fund

The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce’s Healthcare & Community Service Agency Committee is selling raffle tickets now through September 5th to raise money for local high school student college scholarships. The prize consists of various gift cards totaling a value over $500. Gift cards include but are not limited to Bel-Air Bowl, Grimm & Gorly, Outback, Peel Wood Fired Pizza, Perfectly Plated, Shrine Restaurant, Starbucks, & more. Tickets are one for $5 or five for $20. Tickets will have available for purchase at the August Business After Hours and the drawing will take place at the event. Need not be present to win. Belleville Chamber School Kids Welcome To Get Free Backpacks August 7

On Wednesday, August 7th, 2019, the Chamber’s Education Committee will host their annual Back to School Fun Fair at Belleville West High School from 5 – 7 p.m. for participating Chamber member school (list below) students. Families in attendance will receive valuable information from our business leaders while participating in activities that will allow them to leave with a backpack full of school supplies in preparation for the new school year. The event will celebrate the new school year with games, activities, free dental exams & physicals, and more.
