Kaskaskia Engineering Group Honored with Quarterly Commitment to Community Award

The Commitment to Community Award is presented quarterly to a Chamber Member who demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of life for residents and/or businesses in the greater Belleville area. The Ambassadors are honored to present this quarter’s award to Kaskaskia Engineering Group.

Kaskaskia Engineering Group, LLC (KEG) is a 100% woman-owned and managed engineering and contracting firm that was founded in 2006 by Geri Boyer. Their main office is located in downtown Belleville, Illinois, with branch offices in Geneva, Peoria, Champaign, and Glen Carbon, Illinois, as well as Evansville, Indiana, and St. Paul, Minnesota. Kaskaskia has grown from a two person firm to 45 employees over the past 13 years. They offer Transportation, Geotechnical, Structural, Hydraulic, Environmental, and Construction Engineering services.

While the have been involved with many projects, some notable one include the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge, I-64 Daniel Boone Bridge Design/Build, Chicago to St. Louis High Speed Rail, Belleville Police Station and City Hall, Illinois Long Range State Transportation Plan, Rieder Road Interchange at Scott Air Force Base, and the Hofbrauhaus-Belleville.

Kaskaskia Engineering is a great contributor to the community. KEG’s owner and employees are active in the Memorial Hospital Board, Memorial Hospital Foundation Board, Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce Belle-Scott Committee, Chamber Ambassadors, the Board of Catholic Urban Programs, the Board of the BASIC Initiative, Belleville Sister Cities, Downtown Development/Redevelopment Commission, Belleville CEO, King’s House Retreat Center, the Board of Community Kindness, Zoning Board of Appeals, Belleville School District 118 Foundation, and Leadership Belleville. Additionally, KEG has “adopted” a section of IL Highway 15 to provide trash pickup through the corridor, has employees mentor at Henry Raab School, and provides volunteers for community events, such as the Chili Cookoff, Art and Wine Walk, Craft Beer Walk, Belleville Helping Belleville, Art on the Square and more. KEG is the drink sponsor for the annual Government Officials Barbeque and a table sponsor for the Annual Dinner.
