The “Where are We Wednesdays?” campaign is one year old this month! Every Wednesday, Nancy Chase of Bel-Air Bowl hosts the video which highlights a locally owned business. The video is published on the Belleville Main Street and Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce Facebook pages, on the Chamber’s YouTube channel, in the Chamber’s Weekly Email Update, and archived on www.BellevilleMainStreet.net. The campaign was developed to promote shopping locally owned small businesses because we know that: – Every dollar spent at a local independent business leads to a return 3 times more than one spent at a chain. – Small businesses donate twice as much to local non-profit and events compared to big businesses. – Local businesses create jobs for other local printers, wholesalers, farmers, and accountants, which help create a community of entrepreneurs. – Money…

Healthcare/CSA Committee Selling Raffle Tickets for Student Scholarships

The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce’s Healthcare & Community Service Agency Committee is selling raffle tickets now through August 2nd to raise money for local high school student college scholarships. The prize consists of various gift cards totaling a value over $500. Gift cards include but are not limited to Buffalo Wild Wings, The Beast, Red Lobster, The Abbey, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Grimm & Gorly, Cracker Barrel, Panera, Outback Steakhouse & more. Tickets are one for $5 or five for $20. The drawing will take place on August 2 at Business After Hours. Need not be present to win. The Commitment to Community Award is presented quarterly to a Chamber Member who demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of life for residents and/or businesses in the greater Belleville area. The Ambassadors are honored to present this quarter’s award to Roy-el Catering. Roy-el Catering began as a small food catering service specializing in grilled and barbecued meats in 1987. Originally founded by Quentin and Sherry Nungesser, the company has grown into a thriving family business with the support of their son, Marty and daughter, Brea.
