Enlisted Dinner Honors Enlisted Men & Women of Scott Air Force Base & WWII Veterans

The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce Belle-Scott Committee hosted their 69th Annual Enlisted Dinner on Thursday, March 14th at the St. Clair Country Club to honor the enlisted men and women of Scott Air Force Base and thank them for their bravery, commitment, and sacrifice to our nation. This is an annual, sold-out event that reminds the community each year of the important role Scott Air Force Base plays in the metro-east. “The Enlisted Dinner is Belleville’s opportunity to show our deep appreciation to Scott’s enlisted members for their service and sacrifice,” said Geri Boyer, the Belle-Scott Committee Civilian Chairman. “This year we hosted 100 enlisted. Help the Chamber “Drive Away Hunger” in our area

Belleville Schools’ 12th Annual “Drive Away Hunger” food drive will kick off on Wednesday, March 20th and will continue thru Friday, April 12th, 2019. Donated items will benefit the following food pantries in Belleville: Interfaith-St. Paul’s, St. Vincent de Paul Cathedral & Union United Methodist. The items collected will be delivered on Tuesday, April 16th. The demand on our food pantries is overwhelming and they need our help. As we come together as a community to help drive away hunger, keep in mind the impact a community has on one another. Every item makes a difference. The Ambassadors are honored to present this quarter’s award to Rose Marie Fitzgerald. Rose Marie is born and raised in the Belleville area. She currently lives in Millstadt and is truly a gem in this community. Rose Marie retired from Commerce Bank where she worked with their Senior Partners planning group trips ranging from day trips around the area to cruises and more.
