Belleville's the
Place to Be
elleville is the place for festivals, events and
parades throughout the year. This community
hosts more then 100 events annually, with six more
major events taking place every month.
Festivals and Events:
One of the largest events is
Art on the Square, held
in the downtown public square area in May to
showcase music, visual art, drama and dance.
In 2006, it was ranked 5th in
the nation by Art Fair Source Book.
Other major community festivals and events include
the Deutchfest and Oktoberfest, celebrating the
area's German Heritage; the Belleville Chili
Cook-Off; the Belleville Optimist Family Country
Rodeo; Belleville's Old Town Market; Parades; and
Holiday Activities.
Attractions:
Belle-Clair Fairgrounds Park
and Exposition Center is the site of
shows and events on many days of the year:

Antique, craft and other special-interest shows,
as well as auctions, are held in the Exposition
Center throughout the
year.

Racing enthusiasts enjoy stock car, midget and
motorcycle racing and even demolition derbies
from April through September at the
Belle-Clair Speedway
in the Park.

The largest
flea market
in six states, attracting more than 10,000, is
held in and around the Exposition Center on the
third weekend of every month.
